HM 172

HM 172 SUPERSONIC WIND TUNNEL WITH SCHLIEREN OPTICS

The HM 172 Supersonic Wind Tunnel with Schlieren Optics by GUNT is an advanced educational system designed for in-depth analysis of compressible fluid dynamics and aerodynamic phenomena. This open-type Eiffel wind tunnel facilitates the study of subsonic and supersonic flows, enabling experiments on pressure distributions, shock waves, and Mach number determination. Equipped with interchangeable measuring section walls, it achieves flow velocities up to Mach 1.8, allowing for versatile testing scenarios. The integrated Schlieren optics system provides real-time visualization of flow patterns and shock fronts around various drag bodies, enhancing the understanding of complex aerodynamic behaviors. Complemented by GUNT's data acquisition software, the HM 172 offers precise measurement and analysis capabilities, making it an ideal tool for both teaching and research in fluid mechanics and aerodynamics.
